ALCA 2011からSATREPS 2020へ

PO近藤昭彦教授のもとで 約9年間にわたって推進した、JST ALCA（先端的低炭素化技術開発事業）バイオテクノロジー分科会2011年度採択課題「根圏微生物共生系を活用した高次植生バイオプロセスの開発」2016年度実用技術化プロジェクト「共生微生物を活用した水生バイオマスの効率生産」（PL森川正章）が、2019年度末にて開発期間満了（事後評価 A）となりました。当時の開発メンバーは、北海道大学（森川、三輪京子）、山梨大学（森 一博、田中靖浩、遠山 忠）、大阪大学（池 道彦、惣田 訓、黒田真史）、北里大学（清 和成、井上大介）、京都大学（小山時隆、伊藤照悟）、東北大学（久保田健吾）、産業技術総合研究所（玉木秀幸、鎌形洋一）以上敬称略、でした。

この世界をリードする革新技術を、さらに大きなスケールで社会実装に向けて展開するために、このたび JST/JICA SATREPS（地球規模課題対応国際科学技術協力プログラム）2020年度採択課題「タイ国・生物循環グリーン経済実現に向けたウキクサホロビオント資源価値の包括的開拓」として推進することが決定しました。相手国代表研究機関はカセサート大学です。日本側研究開発チームは、ALCAチームと同じ、大阪大、京都大、東北大、北海道大、山梨大、そして新たに国立環境研究所およびサラヤ(株)を加えて組織しています。今後ともご期待ください。

From ALCA 2011 to SATREPS 2020

JST ALCA (Advanced Low Carbon Reduction Technology Research and Development Program) Bioresource Technology Field, which was promoted under the PO Prof. Akihiko Kondo for about 9 years as FY2011- Biotechnology Task “Development of High Order Vegetation Bioprocess System by Utilizing Symbiotic Rhizobacteria” and FY2016- Enabling Technology Project “Effective Aquatic Biomass Production Utilizing Mutualistic Microorganisms” (PL Prof. Masaaki Morikawa) has successfully finished the development period at the end of FY2019. Ex-post evaluation score was “A”.

In order to further expand our world-leading innovative research and technology which had been developed during this period toward social implementation on a larger scale, we are pleased to announce that JST/JICA SATREPS (Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development) has been adopted FY2020, “Development of the Duckweed Holobiont Resource Values towards Thailand BCG* Economy”. *BCG abbreviates Bio-Circular-Green. The representative partner institution is Kasetsart University, Thailand. The Japanese R&D team is based on  the ALCA team, which is organized by Hokkaido University, Osaka University, Kyoto University, Tohoku University, University of Yamanashi, and new members National Institute for Environmental Studies, and Saraya Co., Ltd.
