今年も同行事に参加しました。高校生には少し専門的に、小学生のお子さんやご両親にはわかりやすく、ウキクサとその共生する微生物の魅力を説明しました。子供達のキラキラ輝く目を見ると、また実験に励もうという気持ちになりました。今年は息つく間もないほど多くの方に来場いただきました。おみやげでお配りしたウキクサは元気に増えているでしょうか？

Our laboratory participated in the university event again this year. We explained the usefulness of duckweed and its symbiotic microorganisms, a little technically for high school students and easy for elementary school children and parents to understand. Sparkling eyes of the children could give us good motivation to do experiments harder. There were so many visitors this year that we couldn’t breathe. Are the souvenir duckweeds distributed still growing well?
