Summary:

We intend to discover new and general functions of long-chain unsaturated fatty acids (LC-PUFAs) and to elucidate their molecular mechanisms in cell physiology. We also investigate practical methods for efficient production of LC-PUFAs, because LC-PUFAs have important roles as essential nutrients of human and animals.
