This website is opened to present computer programs of obtaining a yearly transition matrix from satellite images or photographs of a research site with an arbitrary observation interval. The detail of the procedure is published online journal of Landscape Ecology DOI: 10.1007/s10980-009-9433-x (http://www.springerlink.com/content/103025/?Content+Status=Accepted). We developed the computer program to pick up the appropriate solutions, to check the calibrated matrices as well as to obtain the percentage errors of the estimation by the calibrated matrix.
The program provides us (1) the number of yearly matrices, and estimated time to complete the calculation. (2) all of the appropriate yearly matrices and the calibrated matrices, (3) error estimation for each calibrated matrix. Three programs are prepared below: one is made by Mathematica and the other two are by C++. C++ programs are available on windows XP. The simplest way is to use precompiled binary of this program as named "annualmatrix.exe". We also provide source code of the program. So, you can compile the program by yourself and run it on your own environment.
