Summary:

Even a handful of soil or seawater contains incredibly diverse and abundant microorganisms. By combining different disciplines including bioinformatics, genomics, and occasionally experimental biology, I seek to uncover the ecology and functions of diverse microorganisms, as well as the underlying principles behind them.
